Academy DTEK won the Global CCU Awards 2019, a competition for the best corporate universities in the world. The Ukrainian educational business platform was recognized as No.1 in the category “Corporate Responsibility”. The award ceremony took place in Brazil.
Academy DTEK was awarded for the direction of activities aimed at improving the quality of education of government officials and institutions. Academy DTEK already cooperates with 27 state institutions, including the National Bank of Ukraine, Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine, Ministry of Energy of Ukraine, Kyiv City State Administration and others. Academy DTEK has developed and teaches special training programs for its employees aimed at developing their professional and personal competences. To date, the Academy has already trained more than 3.4 thousand government officials.
“The international recognition of Academy DTEK underscores the importance and uniqueness of this project for the country. By implementing it, we aim to contribute to the new quality of training of specialists, on which the successful implementation of reforms, economic reboot and improvement of living standards depend today. Academy DTEK strategy provides for the further development of this area: the involvement of even more participants in training programs from government agencies of the most important industries. We are open to cooperation with all those who share our values and strive to implement quality changes in the country,” said Alexander Kucherenko, DTEK’s Director for Sustainable Development.
Together with Academy DTEK, international companies such as Airbus, Infosys and SAP won the award in 2019. The jury, which determined the winners, included the heads of corporate universities of Microsoft, Siemens, ArcelorMittal, Danone and other leading companies in the world.
Global CCU (Global Association of Corporate Universities) was established in 2005 and unites corporate universities of leading companies from more than 50 countries. Academy DTEK is the only representative of Ukraine in the Global CCU.
