Can you feel our excitement? Meet Heidemarie Stefanyshyn-Piper — the NASA astronaut of Ukrainian-American heritage is coming to Ukraine for the first time since 2007.

Stefanyshyn-Piper has received numerous honors and awards, such as the Meritorious Service Medal, two Navy Commendation Medals, and two Navy Achievement Medals. She has flown on two Space Shuttle missions, STS-115 and STS-126, during which she completed five spacewalks totaling 33 hours and 42 minutes. As of 2019, she ranks 39th on the all-time list of spacewalkers by duration and is the 8th woman to perform a spacewalk;, the second most experienced female spacewalker.

Heidemarie will tell us:
⚫️ How it feels flying on a Space Shuttle and completing space missions?
⚫️ What is EVA and what it means to be a spacewalker?
⚫️ How to become an astronaut? Hopefully, she will share with us some of her secret tips on becoming an astronaut.
⚫️ What it looked like when the space station was being built?
⚫️ She will also describe interesting technical details, as well parts of her life story and she will share some funny space stories with the audience, and much more (if it’s not top-secret)
