International competition for the best mobile solution for agro-sector has launched in Ukraine

The winner will receive $10 000, support from the experts and the chance to launch the pilot

AGRITECH Challenge a competition for innovative business solutions for the agrosphere has started in Ukraine. The aim is to gather ideas and implement projects that will help to solve the urgent problems of farmers with low-income via mobile apps. The winner will receive $10 000 grant and initial investment for the pilot launch of the project. The winning team will be provided with mentoring and technical support.

AGRITECH Challenge takes place on the initiative of the Chairman of the Ukrainian-Dutch Business Council, ex-Minister of agriculture and food of Ukraine Mr. Oleksiy Pavlenko on the basis of UNIT.City, Innovation Park. The partner of the project is Forum Capital, Asian venture capital fund.

Invited applicants: Ukrainian and overseas residents. Deadline is January 31st, 2018. The applicants should present the project with clear monetization mechanism, that is able to scale. The project-solution needs to be developed for the countries of Southeast Asia. Both domestic and international agro-industry should be considered in terms of applicable projects. Applications will be accepted online at http://agritech.unit.city/challenge.
